My Story

My son Stephen was diagnosed with epilepsy when he was 3 months old after suffering 6 seizures in 4 days. In the past 2.5 years, Stephen has had 5 EEGs, 1MRI, 2 hosptial stays, countless doctor appointments and ER visits. Thankfully, Stephen's seizures are now controlled by medication. Sadly, hundreds of other children are not as lucky. Epilepsy affects over 3 million Americans. Every 4 minutes another person is told "It's epilepsy." I will never forget the fear I felt when my son's doctor told me those words.

This year 25,000 - 50,000 people will die from seizures and related casues. It is my goal to spread awareness in hopes of finding a cure so that no more lives are lost to seizures and no more mothers have to live in fear.
