Description
This is an Anti-Poaching Fundraiser 5K Walk/Run to raise money for 2 Charities.
This walk is inspired by a circle of friends from Bermuda, South Africa, & UK who want to help save the rhinos in South Africa. At the beginning of the 20th century there were 500K rhinos across Africa and Asia. Today, this number has decreased dramatically to 29K because of poachers, poaching the rhinos’ valuable horn.
Where will the money from this fundraiser go? All proceeds will go to saving the survivors, caring for the babies who lost their mother and to fund anti-poaching rangers/equipment to protect the healthy living. This is our chance to fight back and stop these poachers before they make these beautiful animals extinct.
The event will take place at the National Stadium North Track (Rugby field). Each walker will walk around the track about 9-10 times. Following the walk there will be raffle prizes and a rhino information tent.
There will be NO Alternative date for weather and there are no refunds.
