2026 Race Shirt
Half Marathon, 10K and 5K participants receive a Without Limits premium-blend race shirt at Expo or race-day packet pickup. Shirts are mailed only to virtual participants.

Finisher Medals
Every finisher in the Half Marathon, 10K and 5K receives a finisher medal.
Special Half Marathon Awards
These awards honor our race history, local running community and active-duty service members.
Ed Fore Award
Named in honor of Ed Fore, founder of the Battleship Half Marathon, the Ed Fore Award recognizes the top male half marathon finisher from greater Wilmington and Southeastern North Carolina.
Janice McSweeney Award
Named in honor of Janice McSweeney, the Janice McSweeney Award recognizes the top female half marathon finisher from greater Wilmington and Southeastern North Carolina.
Eligibility for both local awards: Runners must reside in New Hanover, Pender, Brunswick, Bladen or Columbus County.
Edwin Anderson Award
Presented to the top male active-duty military finisher in the half marathon. The award honors Wilmington native and U.S. Navy Medal of Honor recipient Edwin Alexander Anderson Jr.
Top Female Active-Duty Military Finisher Award
Presented to the top female active-duty military finisher in the half marathon, recognizing the service, strength and commitment of women currently serving in the United States Armed Forces.
Half Marathon Awards
- Overall: The top three male and female finishers each receive a commemorative American flag flown atop the Battleship North Carolina.
- Masters (age 40 and older): The top three male and female Masters finishers each receive a commemorative American flag flown atop the Battleship North Carolina.
- Age groups: The top three male and female finishers in each age group receive custom socks.
Half Marathon age groups: 18 & Under; 19–24; 25–29; 30–34; 35–39; 40–44; 45–49; 50–54; 55–59; 60–64; 65–69; 70+.
10K & 5K Awards
Both races recognize the top three overall male and female finishers, the top three male and female Masters finishers (age 40 and older), and the top three male and female finishers in each age group.
10K age groups: 18 & Under; 19–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; 70+.
5K age groups: 12 & Under; 13–19; 20–29; 30–39; 40–49; 50–59; 60–69; 70+.
Award Timing & Pickup
Overall awards are determined by gun time. Age-group, regional and military awards are determined by chip time.
Participants must be present at the awards ceremony to receive their award. Awards will not be mailed.
