Rules

The top 3 Overall Men and Women finishers based on GUN time will be pulled from their respective Age Groups and automatically placed in the Overall Category. The next 3 Men and Women finishers over 40 based on CHIP time will be pulled from their respective Age Groups and automatically placed in the Masters category. Blue Talon does not permit “double dipping” of awards and therefore the Overall and Masters finishers will not receive an Age Group award. 

5K Awards

Overall 

Top 3 Men & Women

The Overall category will be scored using GUN time. If you are planning to be in contention you must start in the front of the corral.

Masters 

Top 3 Men & Women

The Masters category will be scored using CHIP time. To be in contention for this category you must be 40 years of age or older. 

Age Group 

Top 3 Male & Female in each age group

The Age Group category will be scored using CHIP time. This allows each runner to be scored against all other runners in their age group regardless of where they start in the corrals.

10 and Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and Over. 

1 Mile 

Top 3 Men & Women

The Overall category will be scored using GUN time. If you are planning to be in contention you must start in the front of the corral.
