The Donut Fun Run 2025!

Join us for the 3rd annual Donut Fun Run & Finish Line Festival! 

Saturday, October 18, 2025 @ 9am

Alameda Seaplane Lagoon Promenade

We kick off the day getting the crowd pumped-up for a scenic family-friendly 5k run along the historic Alameda Seaplane Lagoon, past the USS Hornet with incredible views of San Francisco, and back to the start where the festival begins.

The Finish Line Festival will feature a wide variety of food and craft vendors from all over Northern California, our now-famous Donut Eating Contest (open to our race participants), performances by the Dancing Donuts and other live entertainment and music, and a kids play area. 

Please note: Kids 10 and under run for free. You can add a finisher's medal and/or t-shirt at the time of registration. EVERYONE running in the race must register individually and sign the participation waiver.  

** All registration fees are NON-refundable. We are unable to issue refunds for any reason. Please purchase registration insurance at the time of registration and RunSignUp will help you process refunds. **

• Thursday, October 16 from 10am - 5pm @ Lauren's Closet (1420 Park St, Alameda, CA 94501)
• Friday, October 17 from 8am - 8pm @ Donut Petit (711 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda, CA 94501)
• IF you want someone to pick up your race packet on your behalf, they must be able to provide the full name you registered under, your home address, and phone number. Thank you. 

• Before the race Saturday, October 18 from 7:30am - 9am @ Alameda Seaplane Lagoon Promenade for $5 pick-up fee 

Donut Eating Contest

To Register for the Donut Eating Contest, you must register for (and complete) the Donut Fun Run 5k race. Must be over 18 and a legal resident of California. For more information and to sign up please visit: https://forms.office.com/r/Fh1X6EN9aK. 

FAQ

• Are kids on strollers or bikes allowed on the course?

  • Yes. Everyone who is not in a stroller is required to register for the race or they will not be permitted on the course. Children under 10 can register for free. Everyone running, walking, biking or scooting the course, regardless of age, is required to register for the race and sign the race waiver. We will stagger the start times on the day of the race and runners with strollers or accompanied by children on bikes or scooters will start slightly after to minimize hazards. Adults are not allowed on the course on bikes or scooters. 

• Are dogs allowed on the course?

  • Yes. To minimize hazards on the course, any runner participating in the race with a dog will run after the runners and runners with children have gone. We will stagger start times in order to minimize issues along the course.

• Are tickets refundable?

  • Tickets are non-refundable. The event organizers are not able to offer refunds. If you are unsure if you will be able to attend, please select race insurance for a small fee. RaceSheild Race Insurance processes all refunds. 

• Do you have a virtual option?

  • I'm sorry we do not have a virtual option for the race at this time. 

• Can someone pick up my race packet on my behalf?

  • Yes. If you would like someone to pick up your race packet on your behalf, they must be able to provide the full name you registered under, your home address and phone number. We cannot release race packets to anyone without them confirming this information.
