WHAT: (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run) - if you want, do as many rounds of ironman distance that is safe for you.
WHAT YOU GET:
WHEN: You have from 12:00AM May 1, 2014 to 11:59PM May 31, 2014 to complete your 2.4 swim, 112 bike, and 26.2 run. NOTE* you do not have to complete each distance at once - break it up however you need to!
WHERE: EVERYWHERE. You can LITERALLY be anywhere and do this Full Metal MAYhem Challenge!!!!
WHY: To promote a healthy, doable challenge for endurance geeks everywhere! Some people are unable to afford or just don't want to complete a full Iron distance race in one day, so the Full Metal MAYhem Challenge was created to give people a whole month to do an IronMan event or do as many as you want!
HOW: Register Online.
HOW (part 2): Keep track of the miles you swim, bike and run via the google docs link - to be provided :) If you complete the 140.6 with days or weeks left, go for another 140.6!
COST: Starting at $32.50
PACKETS: You will receive a virtual bib to print out, decorate, and PLEASE take pictures while you're completing your Full Metal MAYhem Challenge so we can post on the website, twitter, and facebook!!!
RACE RULES: As stated above, you have from May 1-May 31 to swim at least 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles, and run 26.2 miles. Keep track of mileage and time it takes you to complete the mileage, once you reach the 140.6 mark, email us and we'll put you on the leader board! Keeping track of miles is based on the honor system, so please be truthful and accurate whenever you log miles.
Challenge your friends, co-workers, family, etc. There is no limit on how many IronMans you can complete in Full Metal MAY/IronMAY - just keep track of total time for each one, submit it to be on the leader board! This is all about honesty and having a good time.

A: YES
Q: What do I get for completing the challenge?
A: After registration is complete, you’ll receive a Full Metal MAYhem bib to customize and print out. It’s encouraged that you wear the bib while doing your training/racing and have pictures taken of you and submit them to us! Once you complete your 140.6 you’ll be sent a medal and some other free, cool stuff in the mail. You’ll also be able to call yourself an IronATHLETE!
