Description
This event is a virtual 5k fundraiser, meaning that you can complete it anytime and anywhere during January. Yes, we call it a race, but you don't have to run. Please feel free to walk or hike. To receive your certificate of completion, you will have to report your results when you are finished. But, you don't have to register your time. Instead, you can opt to report only that you completed the event.
This fundraiser benefits the Central Coast Freedom Network. Our mission is to mobilize the community to counter human trafficking. Our programs include:
- Providing case management to survivors.
- Training those who want to become human trafficking survivor advocates.
- Educating the public about human trafficking.
In honor of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, we invite you to "mobilize" by running, walking, or hiking to support human trafficking survivors. Every dollar raised goes towards helping survivors recovery and live freely.
Of course, if you don't want to participate in the virtual 5k but still want to support us, you can make a standard donation or purchase a commemorative shirt.
