About Walking Home

"Home" is a word often used by the women in our program to describe what Crossroads means to them. Our "Walking Home" fundraiser is a recognition of each woman's journey to Crossroads and, eventually, her own home.

To get us started, our Executive Director and full-time champion for the women of Crossroads, Sr. Terry Dodge, will be walking a 15 mile route from the California Institution for Women (CIW) in Corona to the Harvard House in Claremont.

A virtual walk is a real walk, but on your terms. You get to choose your own course, what time you start, and who walks next to you! The walking is real—it's the community that's virtual.

Run, walk, or roll! Select your own course and time between Sunday, March 14 through Sunday, March 28, 2021. You can even do this on a bike, treadmill, stationary bike, or any other way you like to move - either all at once or in stages.

The mission of Crossroads, Inc. is to provide housing, education, support and counseling in a homelike environment for women who have been incarcerated. Our goal is to empower women to take control of their lives and to help them step out of the revolving door of prison and jail.
