Sign up for free! Online registration for the Blackhorse Marathon 2021 is now open to all NTC residents: Soldiers, dependents, veterans, and DoD civilians. The first 150 participants to sign up will be eligible for a free t-shirt!
Options for Half-Marathon and 5-Person Marathon Relay are also available.

FINAL COURSE ROUTES AS OF SEPTEMBER 20TH, 2021:
Half-Marathon:
Start at Fritz Field, take a left on 5th Street, left on Barstow Road, right on South Loop Road, take a right on Outer Loop, straight through Goldstone Road intersection, take a left on Barstow, turn-around at half-marathon checkpoint, continue back towards garrison on Barstow Road, take a right on 9th Street back to Fritz Field to finish.
Marathon:
Start at Fritz Field, left on 5th Street, left on Barstow Road, right on South Loop Road, continue onto Fort Irwin Road, right on NASA Road before Fort Irwin Gate, right on Goldstone Road, left on Outer Loop Road, take a left on Barstow Road, turn-around at marathon checkpoint, continue back towards garrison on Barstow Road, take a right on 9th Street back to Fritz Field to finish.
Relay:
The relay no longer has designated transition points. It will be up to the team to decide where they want to transition their team members along the Marathon course. Team captains will be contacted prior to race day to discuss transportation options.
Packet Pick-up Instructions:
On Friday, September 24th, 2021, packets will be available for pick-up from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with our Staff Duty inside the Regimental S3 Building (Building 184). Packet pick-up will also be available the morning of the race on Saturday, September 25th, 2021 from 5:15 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Race Day Timeline:
5:15 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. - Packet Pick-up
6:00 a.m. - Opening Comments
6:15 a.m. - Full Marathon and Relay Start
6:30 a.m. - Half Marathon Start
11:30 a.m. - Race Cut-Off
12:00 p.m. - Post-Race Ceremony
The Blackhorse Marathon began in 1977 in Fulda, Germany. It was hosted by the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment as an effort to bridge the gap between Soldiers and the community. This event is sponsored by the Blackhorse Association.
