This year, we are thrilled to officially rebrand our annual event as the Granite Bay 5K. While our name has changed, our mission to support the Eureka Union School District remains the heartbeat of every step we take.

Join us for an electric morning of fitness and fun on Sunday, September 13th, 2026! With over 1,000 participants cheering and running together, this is Granite Bay’s premier community event. Whether you're chasing a personal best in the 10K, enjoying a scenic stroll with the family in the 5K, or cheering on the little ones in the ¼-Mile Kids Race, every single step you take directly supports the Eureka Schools Foundation (ESF).

The Race Day Experience

Star-Powered Warm-Ups: Get loose and motivated with pre-race warm-ups led by Olympic Gold Medalist Lashawn Merritt and Drew Nelson from Mind Over Matter.

Professional Chip Timing: Available for all 1/4 mile, 5K, & 10K participants

Commemorative Swag: Every participant receives a short-sleeve event T-shirt and a Finisher Ribbon to celebrate their achievement!

High-Energy Soundtrack: Need a mid-race boost? The talented Olympus and Granite Bay High School bands will be stationed along the route to pump you up all the way to the finish line!

Fuel Up: Delicious Jamba Juice smoothies, breakfast treats, and fresh coffee from Pourch Co. will be waiting for you.

Post-Race Festival & Sponsor Zone: Stick around after you cross the finish line! Enjoy a vibrant morning packed with live music by local band Malpractice 916, interactive games, giveaways, local vendors, face painting, and balloon twisting.

Whether you are looking to crush a personal record or just want to be part of the community vibe, we have an event tailored just for you. Runners can challenge themselves on our brand-new trails with a dynamic two-lap 10K or join the energy of the 5K run/walk. We haven't forgotten the little ones, who can lace up for the fun 1/4-mile Kids Race, or the ultimate cheerleaders, who can join the action as a paid pacer or a sideline supporter. No matter how you choose to participate, there is a place for you on the course—secure your spot today!

The party takes place at Granite Bay High School, where on-site parking is fully available. Please note that roads are not closed for the event; all participants must obey pedestrian laws and stay to the shoulder. Strollers are absolutely welcome, but we kindly ask that you start at the back of the pack for safety.
