Join your family and friends on a scenic cruise through Granite Bay. The Eureka Schools Foundation’s Fund Run promotes a healthy, active lifestyle while providing a fun, community-centered opportunity to raise funds to support students, teachers, and programs of the Eureka Union School District. You can register for a 5K, 1M, or Kids’ Run (100 yard dash). Popular with local families and fitness enthusiasts from across the region, the event attracts over 1,000 runners, walkers, and spectators. Stay after the race and hang out with your community while enjoying Jamba Juice, breakfast, sweet treats, and coffee from various local food trucks.

How to Register

  • Online by Saturday, September 25th,  at 11:59 PM PST
  • At Packet Pick-up on Saturday, September 25th,  from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
  • In-person on Sunday, September 26th from 7:00 am - 8:00 am

EUSD Teachers and Administration: please register with your EUSD email address and use the coupon code you were provided.

Please note that shirts, styles and sizes available while supplies last for entries received after September 5, 2021.

Entry Fees


  • $35 If you register by September 5th,
  • $45 if you register by September 25th,  
  • $55 on race day, September 26th

  • $25 early registration and on race day

100 yard dash

  • $25 early registration and on race day


Online Registration

There is a surcharge to register online. The surcharge is a "convenience fee" that covers the costs issued by the credit cards / online registration company. We work hard to find the best rates to keep the surcharge as low as possible.

Standard Entries Include:

  • All entrants will receive a short sleeve t-shirt (guaranteed only if registered by September 5th, 2021) 
  • Chip timing (5K) 

Packet pick-up

Packet pick-up will be on Saturday, Sept 25 from 10 am - 2 pm at the Eureka Schools District Office located at 5455 Eureka Rd., Granite Bay, CA 95746

Or on race day, Sunday, Sept 26 from 7 am - 8 am at Granite Bay High School located at 1 Grizzly Way, Granite Bay, CA 95746


  • 5k Age Groups: 0-7, 8-11, 12-14, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
  • 5k Awards: Top 3 finishers, male and female 

Also, medals will be presented to the top three male and female age grade winners in the following divisions: 0-7, 8-11, 12-14, 15-18.The award presentation will be near the football field at 10:30 AM.

Course Safety

Roads are not closed for this event. You will be sharing the road with vehicle traffic and must obey pedestrian traffic laws. Participants should use caution and keep to the shoulder. 

Volunteer cyclists will lead out the 5k from the start and proceed in front of the 1st runner to the finish line. A cyclist will also trail the last runner.

Race volunteers will be located throughout the course. If assistance is needed, look for National Charity League (NCL) volunteers wearing navy NCL shirts or bright green volunteer shirts.

Additional Race Info

  • Participants will be required to wear a mask prior to starting and immediately after finishing
  • Participants and staff must stay home if they have tested positive for COVID-19 or have experienced signs/symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days of the event, or if they have been in close contact with a person who has symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days of the event
  • Please keep 6ft apart from anyone not in your immediate household
  • Results and awards will be based on chip time
  • Strollers need to stay in the back with walkers
  • Only registered and licensed service animals are permitted on the course due to insurance requirements.
  • All entries are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Event happens rain or shine.
