Description
Join Human Growth Foundation and be part of a GROWing solution! Bring your friends and family and help increase awareness of childhood growth disorders and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. The 5K Run & Walk for Kids’ Growth starts and ends in the Pettigrew Area of the Crystal Springs Picnic area and loops around the scenic Golf Course and Zoo. The event will include vendors, live entertainment, raffles, food, fun, and so much more! All ages and all walks of life are encouraged to participate. The event will be timed (conventional timing) by Itz About Time and the course is packed dirt.
We can accommodate buses for large groups.

I. REGISTRATION FEES
Receive a 10% discount when you add 4 or more people to the cart.
Adult Run/Walk (Age 18+) - $25.00
Youth Run/Walk (Age 11-17) - $15.00
Child Run/Walk (Age 10 and under) - $5.00
*PRICES INCREASE $5 ON OCTOBER 14, 2019 at 11:59 PM PDT
**MUST SIGN UP BY NOVEMBER 14TH TO GUARANTEE CORRECT T-SHIRT SIZE**
II. PACKET PICK UP
Packet Pick-Up will take place on event day, Saturday, December 14, 2019, from 7:00 am – 8:00 am at Griffith Park-Pettigrew, in Los Angeles.
Be prepared to show a valid form of ID when claiming your bib and shirt. As for teams, captains may pick-up for the entire group.
II. EVENT DAY SCHEDULE
Community Expo Area 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
Check-in/Packet Pick Up starts at 7:00 AM
5K Warm-Up at 8:35 AM
5K Start at 9:00 AM (Gun Start)
Walkers start shortly after runners
Refreshments will be provided at the finish line and in the Community Expo area.
Each participant gets a Finisher Medal and a T-shirt.
There will be prizes for the top adult & youth male and top adult & youth female finishers in each age division.
III. HOW TO FIND THE EVENT LOCATION

From the 5 southbound, exit Los Feliz (west) and make a right on Riverside. This is the entrance to the park. Keep going for about 1 mile and make a right to the Pote Baseball Field Area. (Before the Ranger Station and Merry Go Round.) Follow signs to the race.
From the 5 northbound, exit Los Feliz and make a left upon exit. Make a right on Riverside. This is the entrance to the park. Keep going for about 1 mile and make a right to the Pote Baseball Field Area. (Before the Ranger Station and Merry Go Round.) Follow signs to the race.
IV. PARKING
There are ample parking steps away from the event area.
V. EVENT BENEFICIARY
the 5K Run & Walk for Kids' Growth benefits the Human Growth Foundation, a 501 c3 nonprofit organization that provides research, education, patient support and advocacy to children with growth disorders and growth hormone deficiency.
