Whether you're a speedster or a casual stroller, this event welcomes everyone of all ages and abilities to help support our local LGBTQ+ organizations. More than just a race, it's a vibrant celebration of unity and diversity, proudly hosted by the Palm Springs Front Runners & Walkers. Every stride helps build a more supportive and accepting world. Supporting Our Community

Last year, our event raised more than $40,000, supporting groups that offer safety, affirmation, resources, and opportunities to our community. Since the inception of our race, we've donated over $240,000 to local nonprofits—and this year, we're standing even stronger together.

At the core of our mission is the belief that pride is more than a moment—it's a daily promise to stand up, reach out, and care for one another.

Proceeds from this year's Pride 5K Run and Walk will support these exceptional local charity partners. By investing in these organizations, we're supporting a vibrant network of changemakers who keep our LGBTQ+ community healthy, visible, and empowered.

The Course

Palm Springs Pride 5k Run and Walk is a 3.1 mile course that runs through the beautiful and historic Old Las Palmas and Vista Las Palmas neighborhoods. The 5K course starts on West Chino Drive and Belardo Road behind the Corridor Shops and winds through Old Las Palmas, a former citrus grove and once home to some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. The beautiful, mostly flat, out-and-back course is on paved streets. There will be volunteers on the course to cheer you on and keep you moving in the right direction. Click to see the course map.

Registration & Packet Pickup

There is no registration on race morning, so please register in advance.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds.

Advance packet pickup is Friday, November 7 from noon to 4 PM at The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert at 1301 N Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs. Registration at Packet Pick-up is an on-line process so credit card payments are required.

Race day packet pickup starts at 7 AM and finishes at 7:45 am on November 8, at the race start area at W Chino Drive and Belardo Road. We do allow you to select someone else to pick-up your race bibs on Friday during packet pick-up.

All online registrants get a t-shirt with their race packet. T-shirts are only reserved for pre-registrants, so please register prior to our Friday Packet Pick-Up. Register early to make sure you get yours. Due to an expected surge in late registrations, some shirt sizes may be limited.

Please note, registration for Virtual Participation closes on October 15 to allow us to mail t-shirts prior to your virtual run or walk. Due to mailing costs, we are only able to send t-shirts to our virtual participants in the United States and Canada.

Teams

Take your race experience to the next level by running with co-workers, classmates, friends, or family. Anyone can join or create a team and there is no minimum or maximum number required. Friendly competition and crazy costumes encouraged! Create or join a team when you register.

Awards will be given to the top 3 teams with the most participants.

Results & Awards

A timing chip is attached to your race bib, so wear it throughout the race, keeping it visible and unobstructed. Please be aware that you must cross the chip timing device at the start and finish to record your time and be eligible for an award.

Palm Springs Front Runners and Walkers are pleased to provide Official Race Timing by Ready, Set . . . Time!

The top male, female, and non-binary finishers get an award. We also offer age group medals for top finishers in the following categories: Under 15, 16-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+. Winners must be present to receive medals. Medals will not be mailed.

Directions & Parking

The race starts and ends on W Chino Drive @ Belardo Road.

From North Palm Springs: Take Palm Canyon Drive south towards Alejo Road. W Chino Drive is one block north of Alejo Road, next to The Corridor shops.
From South Palm Springs: Take Indian Canyon Drive or Belardo Road north towards Alejo Road. W Chino Drive is one block north of Alejo Road @ Palm Canyon Drive.
From East Palm Springs: Take Sunrise Way to Alejo Road, then head west on Alejo Road to Palm Canyon Drive. W Chino Drive is one block north of Alejo Road @ Palm Canyon Drive.

There is ample street parking near the starting area, most conveniently on Belardo Road south of Alejo Road. This event takes place during Pride Weekend so there may be road closures in the downtown area. Carpooling or ride-sharing is encouraged.
