Description
6 mi out & back | Moderate Difficulty | Elevation Gain 1,110 to 1,950 feet | Poway, CA
The first section of the trail is easy to moderate, with little incline. The middle section of the trail switchbacks east of the peak and overlooks Ramona. The top section to the peak is a steep, rocky areas and switchbacks.
Safety Tips: Shade is extremely limited on this trail. Wear lightweight non-cotton clothing and head coverings (hat). Use sunblock. Must carry 2L of water, coupled with electrolite tablets. Wear a trail shoe with good traction. Bring a small backpack to carry your water, snacks, and other hiking essentials. Trekking poles recommended if you have them. Come prepared with a fully charged cellphone.
