Let’s come together virtually to celebrate the 124th birthday of the United States Submarine Force with the annual Submarine Birthday 5k and One Mile Submarine Sprint, benefitting the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation and presented by the San Diego Submarine Spouse Community.
Run, jog, or walk to support the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation by participating in the Submarine Birthday Virtual 5k! Complete your miles anywhere at any time between April 7 – 13, 2024 from the comfort of your own neighborhood. Show your support by wearing your shirt and posting photos on our social media pages. Cheer on others participating and give virtual high-fives!
With your registration, you’ll get a one-of-a-kind technical race shirt and medal. There will also be chances to win awards and prizes! Register by February 16, 2024, to get your gear in time for the race week.

Team Awards will be given in the following categories:
Submarine 5K Battle E Award – The boat or crew that has the most participants, including families and friends, gets a plaque to hang with pride.
King Neptune Award – The command or organization (not a boat) with the most participants gets a plaque to hang with pride.

The mission of the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation (DSF) is to support the educational goals of the spouses and children of our Submarine Force through financial assistance.
Submarine spouse organizations and fundraisers have historically and continue to supply a strong source of support for the DSF's mission of making submarine scholars' dreams a reality!
Celebrating 60 years in 2020, the Dolphin Scholarship Foundation has assisted generations of submarine families in pursuit of their educational dreams! The Dolphin Scholarship Foundation is proud to have awarded over $15,000,000 to more than 1,500 students attending universities and colleges throughout the United States.
The San Diego Submarine Spouse Community is proud to contribute to this legacy of service and scholarship! Funds raised by your purchase will go toward a DSF scholarship from the San Diego Submarine Spouse Community. Dolphin Scholarship Foundation is a nonstock corporation organized under the laws of Virginia and tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Our Federal EIN is 54-6038828. This is a non-federal entity. It is not a part of the Department of Defense or any of its components and it has no governmental status.
