How the Race works:
  • Step 1: Register for the event (You will have the option to create a team, join a team, or run on your own)
  • Step 2: Download your custom race bib and share on social media
  • Step 3: Recruit your friends and family to join (Use your referral code to receive a $5 refund for each person you get to join)
  • Step 4: Start talking smack about who is going to win
  • Step 5: July 3rd-5th, pick a time and date that works best for you, go run the course and record your time
  • Step 6: Log into your RunSignup account and enter your results

American Legion Post 848

The American Legion was established nearly 100 years ago in the wake of  War I and as the last major pandemic ran rampant throughout the globe.
United States Veterans were in dire need of a community for support and comradery as they faced an ever-changing reality back at home living with the mental horrors and physical disabilities that war sustains.
Since its advent, The American Legion has lobbied tirelessly for G.I. benefits and has mobilized without hesitation when communities have faced challenges and disasters to different degrees. Indeed, the American Legion has not once hesitated across the nation to support disaster relief efforts even when our uniforms have been stowed away.
The discipline, the attention to detail, the honor, and the courage that veterans exude are indicative of the type of leadership all communities are appreciative of.

However, the time has come to respectfully ask our communities of Hemet and San Jacinto to unite and to support the American Legion Post 848 during this unprecedented time. It is true, the shutdown due to COVID-19 has left Post 848 without the ability to raise funds.
Moreover, with operating costs continuing to accrue (rent, utilities, perishables expired), Post 848 and the veterans that call it home are humbly requesting any and all assistance available by those able to lend a helping hand to the brave soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen that have once written the personal check payable up to and including life for this beautiful country we all enjoy to date.

Please join us in our campaign to support not only our post but also the apex of America: Veterans. For without these brave men and women, there would be no land of the free.
