Description
Become the hero you were always meant to be. Grab your cape, cowl, or suit of armor and join us at the 2025 Superhero Fun Run in Union City. This race will have a professional timing system, award medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners of each race category, plenty of raffle prizes, and a costume contest.
This event celebrates the anniversary of the Mark Green Sports Center in Union City, and since 2016, has donated a portion of each registration to the Parkinson's Foundation. $5 from every registration will be donated to our Parkinson's Foundation Moving Day team. More on this at the bottom of the description.

Supporting A Great Cause
The Mark Green Sports Center will dedicate $5 from each registration to our Parkinson's Foundation Moving Day Fundraising Team. Since 2016, our Union City Parkinson's Exercise program team has helped raise over $100,000 for people with Parkinson's. Later this year the Parkinson's Foundation will host the annual Moving Day event which raises funds and awareness for Parkinson's. Our Parkinson's Exercise Program in Union City was created thanks to community grants from the Parkinson's Foundation and made possible by events like Moving Day. March 2, 2025 – Superhero 5k Fun Run & Walk
$5 from ever registration for this event goes towards the Parkinson’s Foundation. Grab your cape and cowl and race towards the finish line. This race will have photos, raffles, costume contests, and a professional timing system.
June 2025 – TRYathlon
Effort over competition. This event is composted of a 15 minutes of swimming, 15 minutes of spin biking, and 15 minutes of running around the Dan Oden Swim Complex. Scores will be calculated based on distance covered in each leg of the event. All fitness levels are welcome! Look for up-to-date information in our Summer 2025 Activity Guide.
October 2025 – The Running Dead 5k Fun Run & Walk
Zombies are coming for your flags! This race is a great way to celebrate the Halloween Holiday. Each runner receives flags to protect along the 5k trail. This race will have photos, raffles, costume contests, and a professional timing system. Look for up-to-date information in our Fall 2025 Activity Guide.
