Description

Do you have what it takes to complete the CKF Century Challenge? This unique event will challenge runners, riders, and walkers everywhere to get creative, lace up your shoes, or get on your bike, and race. Push yourself to new heights this summer, join CKF and spread the message of organ donation and a healthy lifestyle post transplantation!

If you’re feeling extra bold, you can chase both the Century Ride and Century Run Challenge by running & riding in the same weekend! Let’s see what kind of grit, guts, and determination you have.

Since this is a virtual challenge, you can run, ride, or walk wherever and whenever you want!  We understand this will be far more challenging for those in the mountains or in thick humidity compared to those in the flatlands, that is why we have lots of different options for you to celebrate organ donation and transplantation! We’ll re-share all the fun ways you guys are accomplishing the challenge on social and share our own versions of this challenge too!

TIMELINE TO COMPLETE THE CHALLENGE

You will have from Thursday, September 1nd to Monday, September 5th to complete the challenge of your choice.

Participants will complete individual segments at their own pace. Start by picking your event from the choices above and whether you join the RUN, RIDE, or WALK challenge!

RAISING AWARENESS FOR ORGAN DONATION

Our mission is to inspire and educate young adults to increase registration for organ and tissue donation. Through our programs we reach tens of thousands of young people each year, equipping them with facts about organ donation so they can make educated decisions. Our vision is to eliminate the wait for transplantation.

To help us raise awareness, please wear LIME GREEN* during your challenge! We also ask that you take a photo and share it on social media, using the hashtag #LiveLifeGiveLife

*Just in case you were not aware - Lime green is the color for organ donation awareness.

FUNDRAISING

Your consideration to fundraise for CKF is greatly appreciated. There is no fundraising minimum for participating in the event. We would like to reward you for your efforts if you choose to fundraise for organ donation awareness:

• Raise $200 - we will refund your registration cost ($20)

• Raise $300 - we will send you a CKF Neck Buff

• Raise $400 - you will receive a LiveLifeGiveLife T-shirt

• Raise $500 - you will receive a CKF Century Challenge hat!

FAQ

FAQ
Q: Do I have to be in Colorado or from Colorado to participate in this event?
A: No, you do not have to be in or from CO to participate—anyone in the world can join us virtually for this event!

Q: How do I record my miles?
A: You will record your miles on your own mileage log link. You can do it daily, or you can do it at the end of the weekend...whatever works for you!

Q: Do I have to run or can I walk?
A: You can run, walk...or do both! Do what you can to get those miles. It's your challenge—as long as you are purposefully moving and logging miles, it counts.

Q: Do I have to ride/run/walk outside?
A: You can go outside, inside, on your roof (kidding!), in your basement, treadmill, or around the house. Anywhere you want—as long as you get your miles in, it counts!

Q: Do my miles count before September 1st?
A: No, only miles that you ride, run, and/or walk in between the Challenge timeframe count towards your CKF Century Challenge goal: from September 1st - September 5th.

Q: Can I ride/run/walk multiple times a day?
A: Yes, breaking your miles up several times a day counts too!

Common Trouble Shooting Questions For Recording Miles

Q: I need to enter my second run, but when I enter it, my first run disappears. How do I fix this?
A: In this example, you are overwriting the first run. Instead, keep the data the same for the first run, and click ADD ANOTHER ACTIVITY in order to add your second ride/run/walk. You will continue to do this every time you add a ride/run/walk.

Q: I received my link, but I'm confused on how to log my miles.
A: Here is a video to walk you through how to log miles with the link: https://youtu.be/s2eIBZq6fkM.

Q: I did not receive my link. How do I log my miles?
A: Some email servers block our emails to you. If you do not have your daily link, you can follow this video for instructions on how to log your miles. Keep in mind: you must be logged into the https://runsignup.com/login account that you used to register for the CKF Century Challenge before you do any of the steps in the video (you can also log your miles using your email address or phone number without being logged in).

Q: When I search my name, it does not come up to enter virtual results or it says I don't have permission. Why is this?
A: You must be logged into the same https://runsignup.com/login account that you registered with.

Q: I don't see the date when I try to log my results. Why not?
A: Once you get into the results page, you have to click ADD ANOTHER ACTIVITY. You must do this every time you log an activity. The time and distance on the right is the total time and distance. It will automatically add this to your total distance and percentage completed.

Q: I rode/ran/walked again today. How do I enter a second entry of results?
A: On the results page, choose ADD ANOTHER ACTIVITY. Do not overwrite the previous activity or it will disappear. Each time you do a new ride/run/walk, you must click ADD ANOTHER ACTIVITY. For example, if you ran once per day and have 4 runs, you will see all 4 activities in the submit results page at the end of the Challenge. Do not overwrite them.

Q: I made a mistake on entering my results. How do I change it?
A: In this example, you can go in and overwrite the mistake. Don't just enter it again correctly—you must overwrite the incorrect data.

Q: I entered my results, but I don't see them in the listing. Why?
A: The results may take a few minutes to update.

Q: My loved one/friend registered me for the Challenge. How do I move that registration to my account?
A: Use this link to learn how to move a sub-account to another user. Follow the section titled: "Transfer Sub-Account To Another Existing Account".

Q: I am listed as anonymous in the results. Why?
A: When you create an account, you have an option to be listed as anonymous in the results. If you do not want this, go into your https://runsignup.com profile and click the icon on the upper right corner to edit your profile. You will see a check box at the bottom that you will want to UNCHECK to be listed again.
