Escape Velocity: Virtual 5k Run/Walk

Rising 4 is hosting its first Virtual 5k Run/Walk Fundraiser from September 11-12, 2021! This event will commemorate the 20 year anniversary of 9/11 in September and honor health care workers who have been working through the COVID-19 pandemic. Beneficiaries of this fundraiser will be the FealGood Foundation and UCHealth Health Care Worker Emergency Relief Fund whose missions respectively support these efforts: assisting emergency personnel who were injured on duty and providing short term financial assistance to UCHealth employees experiencing financial distress. Registration for this fundraiser will be $25 for all runners and walkers. 

Each participant will receive a swag race t-shirt. Participant with the fastest time will receive a customized 3D printed medal (must upload time on the website to be eligible).

How do you participate? 

1. Register for the event via the RunSignup link. 
2. You can run or walk the race anywhere on September 11th (Saturday) or September 12th (Sunday); race must be done in one attempt.
3. (OPTIONAL) Download the Nike Run Club app or any app that accurately tracks your time and distance.
4. Upon completion of your 5k run/walk, post a picture of your completion time, a picture of you running/walking, or getting ready for the race!
