Description
The Big Gay 5K is back in a BIG way and we have gone virtual. Cue Gay Gasp! Runners will join together across the country to complete 5k virtual races while celebrating LGBTQ Pride in a positive and healthy way. Athletes will have a choice of two routes in their city to run or walk and experience an interactive experience through the RaceJoy app. The swag will be flowing - All registrants will be treated to an exclusive face covering designed to be THE centerpiece of any Pride ensemble for those carefully planned food and drank pick-ups. And, everyone will receive the glitteriest, pinkest, gayest finisher medal you can dream up. Prepare your friends for an Insta glitter bomb! We'll also share a special live broadcast on June 27 featuring local drag personalities and providing the inspiration and fun you crave to complete the Big Gay 5K. A portion of the proceeds will benefit One Colorado and their efforts to continue the fight to protect equal rights for all members of the LGBTQ community.

One Colorado is the state’s leading advocacy organization dedicated to advancing equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) Coloradans and their families. Its team effectively advocates for LGBTQ Coloradans and their families by lobbying the General Assembly, executive branch, and local governments on issues like safe schools, transgender equality, relationship recognition, and LGBTQ health and human services.
