Genetically Rare Julia VIRTUAL 5k and 24 hour

Run a virtual race to support Julia Beckley. Julia is a remarkable wheelchair athlete from Northern Colorado, with an inspiring story that transcends mere athleticism. Julia faces multiple rare conditions, including hypophosphatasia (a genetic bone disorder that makes her bones brittle), hereditary angioedema, mast cell disorder, and osteonecrosis. Beckley has the opportunity to be the first female wheelchair athlete to attempt and complete seven marathons, over seven days, on seven continents in an event called The Great World Race.

As a peer mentor and patient advocate, Julia has contributed to the awareness of rare disease and the impact it has on individuals, families and communities.
I have evolved from being an activist in her pursuit of finding races and creating accommodation in Colorado for wheelchair based athletes. Julia pushes for greater inclusivity, accessibility, and acceptance in races and events.

Julia needs to raise $100,000 to cover the entire cost of the adventure for herself and her team to do the Great World Race. This includes specialized gear and equipment, especially for the unique conditions in Antarctica.
