The Virtual 5k Race/Walk will kick off the 2020 Montbello Alive! festivities. The 5k Race/Walk will launch on September 20th at 9:00am and close on September 25th at 9:00pm. About Montbello Alive!
The vision of this annual event came ALIVE! after witnessing great success during the 50th anniversary celebration in September 2016. This community-driven annual event is designed to ensure all community members have a sense of belonging and seeks to change the narrative from within the diverse walls of the neighborhood. Members seek to create new, safe, and positive shared experiences in which all generations can gather around healthy food, various forms of physical activities, music, culture, community voice, and more. The community desires an awakening – to show the greater Denver-metro area that Montbello is ALIVE! with a vibrant, hopeful spirit.
Join us for the 4th annual celebration of Montbello ALIVE! This year's theme is resilience (re·sil·ien·ce): the ability to overcome challenges of all kinds and emerge stronger than before. Despite COVID-19 and the loss our community has faced, Montbello continues to fight to take care of our neighbors. We have banded together to feed our neighbors, connect one another to resources, lift each other up and so much more. This event is to celebrate the mountains we have been able to overcome. We can't wait to celebrate with you!
