Description

LOCATION
Anywhere you want. This is a virtual event. But we suggest finding the biggest mountain around and climbing it… repeatedly. #HillsOnHillsOnHills

Register today to get climbing and continue Moun10 Ultra’s work of diversifying the starting line!

DETAILS
Can you stake your claim to the title of King / Queen of the Moun10? The high alpine is dry, the trails are open and the weather window is perfect. How high can you climb? How vertical will your routes be? How many peaks will you tackle as you represent your home state in the title for The State of Climbing?

Moun10 Running’s inaugural event will be a virtual race to the top. It is no secret that our founder loves vert more than any other aspect of trail running - so we shouldn’t be surprised that this event features a vert heavy format with emphasis on vert gained per mile, and pits the vert heavy states against one another. Will Utah reign supreme again as they did in the awesome Cirque Series MAX Vert October? Will Arizona’s finest wake up early to beat the heat and prove there’s a reason they host the Raised By Rams Vertical Challenge? Or will the high alpine states of Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Washington take the title with their massive peaks? Or will the East coast squad show up and prove everyone wrong?!

Only outdoor activities powered by two feet will be accepted. Hike or run your way to victory! No treadmill vert, rock climbing, skinning, biking, etc… and all vert entries must be round trip -  with a few exceptions. You may do point to point activities, unless you are just going up and then taking a vehicle down the mountain. An acceptable point to point activity would be something like the Boulder Skyline Traverse or Aspen to Crested Butte route, as these point to point routes don’t increase your vert per mile gained and let you walk off the hard part. You’re on the honor system for the most part, but we will be checking some GPX data in certain categories.

Registration closes on July 2, 2021 at 11:59 PM MST

Vert achieved between July 1, 2021 at midnight until July 31 at 11:59 PM MST will be counted

We highly encourage everyone to record their activities on a daily basis so the leaderboard is as accurate as possible. All entries for vert must be per activity, you cannot upload a batch of activities in one entry.

***ENTERING DAILY ACTIVITIES***
Under my profile, find our race, and click on the button that says "Submit Virtual Results". From here, you will be directed to enter the info we need. You are not required to enter your activities every day, but it does make the leaderboard more fun to watch that way!

If you choose to enter a bunch of activities at once, they must be entered separately - and not in bulk - as we have some contests that rely on per activity vert
