Description

Join us on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at beautiful Palmer Lake Regional Recreation Area for the 7th Annual Colorado Run for the Fallen—a 6-hour untimed run/walk/ruck event hosted by the Honor and Remember – Colorado Chapter. This tribute of gratitude honors over 450 Colorado military service members who made the ultimate sacrifice since the start of the Global War on Terror.

Event Overview:
This is not a race—there are no chips, no clocks, and no pressure. Whether you move for 1 mile or all 6 hours, your presence recognizes a fallen hero. Each mile is dedicated to individual service members, and throughout the event, names are read aloud with a ceremonial salute to honor their memory.

“Every step we take, every name we speak, is a promise to never forget.” – George Lutz, Founder of Honor and Remember

Participants can join as individuals or teams, run, walk, or ruck in memory of a specific hero, or volunteer to support this powerful moving memorial. The public is welcome to cheer, participate, and pay their respects.

What to Expect:
Run, walk, or ruck as little or as much as you'd like
Carry the name of a fallen service member
Hear each hero's name, rank, and date of loss read aloud
Experience a ceremonial salute at each tribute mile
Conclude with a Final Mile of Honor walked or run together
Open to all ages and fitness levels
Solo participants and teams welcome

Gold Star Families:
We are honored to offer free registration to Gold Star families. Please contact the race director for more information.

Proceeds from the event support Honor and Remember initiatives, including the presentation of personalized Honor and Remember Flags to Gold Star families in Colorado.

Let us come together in unity and gratitude to ensure that the sacrifices of our heroes are never forgotten.
