Race Information
The seventh and final race in the Vail Recreation District's (VRD) La Sportiva Vail Mountain Trail Running Series, the EverGold 11k and 5k presented by Haute Route Gear & Apparel will begin and end at the Vail Golf Club (may change to Golden Peak for 2015) The 11k race kicks off at 10am, while 5k runners begin at 10:25am. Runners traverse along the Vail Trail to Golden Peak, up the popular Berry Picker & newly-added Onza Alley trails to Lion Down, & back to Golden Peak before finishing back on the Vail Trail for a distance just over seven miles. Runners experience an average grade of 10 percent and gain nearly 1,700 feet in elevation throughout the race. Those participating in the 5k will also run on the Vail Trail to Golden Peak before turning around on the Vail Trail back to the Vail Golf Club.
