Hey there! Here are some answers to some frequently asked questions. Check back as we may add more as we get closer to the race.
1. What is a virtual race?--Great question! Racing virtually means your get to do the event whenever and wherever you want! You can do whatever distance you want, too, because no one is keeping track if your distance except you! So you can do the 5k. You can do a 10k. You can walk around the block. It truly is whatever you want to make it. Just make sure to snap a few pictures and post them on social media so we can see all of your smiling faces and use hashtag #BigWavesFamily5k
2. How am I going to get my race shirt?--Another great question! If you chose the initial "Race in Person" or current "Local" option, we will be having a shirt/packet pickup at Roadrunner Sports in Westminster on September 29th, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. If you chose the initial "Virtual" or current "Out-of-Towner" option, we will be sending you your shirt.
3. The run course is below. It's a little confusing to look at it, but we'll start in front of the club at the green dot, head west and make a right. At the path you'll take another right and do a counter clockwise circle all the way around, past where you entered the path at the beginning. You'll pass the turn running east, and then turn south for the long out and back. Once you head back, you'll do the same loop you did, but clockwise and then come around to the finish. I know it might be confusing, but I have plenty of volunteer support to keep you going in the right direction.
