Description
A fundraising swim in Chester Ct to benefit Forgotten Coast K9 (trains veterans to train their own service dogs) and the Navy Seal Foundation. This is a 2 mile swim in the beautiful Connecticut River September 16-18. This event is so much more than a swim, participants are encouraged to come Friday Afternoon with their camping gear and setup camp.
Friday Night: Pot luck, bring your own meat, and something for the group to share, our world class barbecue cooks will have it ready in no time, or cook it yourself.
Saturday: Swim (TBD) The Connecticut River is extremely tidal, so our depart time is flexible based on the best time to hopefully get a little push up to the turn around and back. (Turn Around will be around an anchored red canoe, right before the ferry crossing, keep the canoe on your right.
Saturday Afternoon: Hosted Celebratory Lunch (Food Truck) and Ceremony, Lawn Games,
Sunday: Pack Up and Go Home.
Wetsuit Policy: Wetsuits welcome, water temp probably 65-75.
There will be some prizes, but please remember this is primarily a fundraising event to help those who served and the families.
You can either raise the money for the swim or pay donation fee yourself. Charity receipts are available,
