Cromwell's Virtual Superhero Scramble

Looking for a FREE virtual race to do with your family? Look no further! The Woodside Intermediate Physical Education Department is hosting a family 1 mile walk or 5K walk/run to continue to promote lifetime fitness and overall wellness. We are asking families to complete the walk/run WHILE PRACTICING SOCIAL DISTANCING and OBEYING ALL TRAFFIC LAWS. 

The Challenges:  The Wonder Woman's 1 Mile Walk, the Superman 5K Shuffle, or if you really want to challenge yourself, you can sign up the challenge we call the Flash Feat. During the Flash Feat, you walk/run BOTH the 1 mile and the 5K. These can be done in the same run or during two separate runs.

Cost: FREE - sign up starts May 22nd and runs through June 7th. 

When: You can walk 1 mile or run/walk 5K ANY TIME before June 8th. UPDATE: You have until the 14th now :)

How does this work? Map your 1 mile or 5K (3.1 miles) run using MapMyRun, using a GPS watch, Fitbit, smartwatch, or map your path prior to going out and keep your time on a stopwatch. Here is the link providing DIRECTIONS ON HOW TO DOWNLOAD YOUR VIRTUAL RACE BIB (optional). 

Results: If you completed the Wonder Woman or Superman challenge, you can log your time on the runsignup.com website where you registered. If you completed the Flash Feat, please add your TOTAL time for both the mile and the 5K together before submitting your time. Once your results have been submitted, you will be able to download your digital finisher's certificate from the runsignup result's page. Send us your pictures: Our PE department would love to connect and show everyone that we are all in this together while staying safe and active. Our hope is to create a slideshow to share, so please only send your pictures if you are giving us permission to showcase your picture to the community. There is a free download of a customized bib you can wear for your run and pictures. Costumes are encouraged or wear RED to show your Cromwell pride!
