Change of Pace 5K

Our words and actions, no matter how small they may seem, have the power to change the pace of a movement. 

It's our responsibility to come together and change the path that our country is headed down. To change the systems that have allowed institutional violence and system racism toward black communities. To listen and learn about the experiences and hardships of people of color. To unlearn the racial biases that have been instilled in us all. To uplift the voices of the black community. 

Every step we take together brings us closer to change. 

Please consider joining me in a Change of Pace 5K in support of Black Lives Matter. 100% of proceeds will go to The African American Policy Forum to support their mission of advancing and expanding racial justice, gender equality and the indivisibility of all human rights.

This is a virtual race which you complete any time between June 27th and July 4th, 2020. 

On June 27th, 2020 I will be participating in the Forbidden Forest 100 mile / 30 hour ultra marathon to help raise awareness to this cause. Though you have a week to complete your 5K, it would mean the world to me if you ran with me (virtually) on June 27th. 100 miles is a long way but knowing I have friends running alongside me in spirit will give me the push I need.
