Description
Welcome to the inaugural Tatetoberfest 5k and 13 mile challenge! We are so happy you are participating!
SMA is a neuromuscular disease that currently has no cure, though there have been many exciting developments in the treatment landscape in recent years. Our Tatetoberfest run is our way of bringing everyone together to celebrate movement, raise awareness, and continue to fundraise towards providing those in this community with the resources and treatments needed, ultimately pushing to find the cure! The 13 mile challenge is in honor of Tate receiving his own life changing therapy at only 13 days old.
This year, we are raising money for the Love for Lewiston foundation. This foundation was created by the Olstad family to celebrate the incredible life of their son Lewiston. In his honor, they have raised money to directly support families and individuals with SMA. Check out their incredible story and mission here!
Register for either event and run or walk to support the SMA community! (Note: the 13 mile challenge can be completed all at once or over the course of several days!)
Those who register before September 15 will receive a commemorative race tee. Wear it during your race and send us photos at your finish line!
Participants are also invited to celebrate with us at the West Hartford GastroPark on October 16 between 10 and 2 pm! Details coming soon!
