Hunters Moon "Hooves & Heels" Run - 5K, 3K & 1K

Following the Hooves & Heels Historic 5K race events,
enjoy the rest of the day with more Hunters Moon events
hosted by Calvert Main Street Preservation.

Proceeds from the Calvert Hooves & Heels Historic 5K, 3K, and 1K kick-off event benefit Calvert Main Street Preservation 501(c)3, Texas Non-Profit organization.  and our mission to promote economic vitality and opportunities in the 8-block business district and the surrounding blocks listed on the National Registry.

Historic Main Street celebrates the 8th Annual Hunters Moon - Main Street MOON-FEST, Fri & Sat., Oct. 9 & 10, 2026. The festival is free to attend covering 8+ blocks of shopping and food in the historic business district with featured ticketed events throughout the day.

FRI. OCT 9, 2026 5PM—The Festivities kick-off with the ROYAL FEAST OF THE HUNTER’S MOON—Be prepared to join one of the longest tables in Texas to gather & celebrate community. Meet the Royal Feast CELEBRITY CHEF and PIT MASTER Joey Victorian of Victorian’s BBQ. Victorian was featured on Season 2 of the Netflix series *Barbecue Showdown* who is known for his Creole-influenced, tender Barbeque and the “Texas Tri-Cut King.”. Victorian was named to the 2026 Texas Monthly’s Top 10 BEST BBQ. Tickets for the event coming soon and will be sold on EventBrite.com.

9AM - MIDNIGHT

9AM —HOOVES & HEELS 5K plus a 3K COLOR RUN and 1K KIDS RUN.
The 5K is a timed event through Calvert’s historic 37 Block residential historic district and Virginia Field Park. The race starts & finishes one street off Main Street on Railroad at the Calvert Volunteer Fire Department. Registration includes a T-Shirt, swag, awards and more. Register on SignRunUp.com.

HUNT & HOWL JEEP & ATV SHOW
JEEPS & ATVS show off their Hunter’s theme vehicles competing for prizes and more! Visit the Lone Oak Lounge grounds to experience the themed and outfitted Jeeps & ATVs. Participating Jeeps & ATVs can register on Eventbrite.com.

FEATURED COMPETITIONS DEMONSTRATIONS & SPECIAL GUEST. Adding to the line up of events include archery, gun-safety, demonstrations by Mounted Taxidermy and Taxidermy by Chloe, “Hunters Duck Call” Competition, “Crown, Rack, & Points” parade down Main Street to show your headdress…and more!

MAIN STREET SHOPPING & FOOD. Visit 8 Historic Blocks on the National Registry with featured ARTISANS & FOOD TRUCKS,

2PM-6PM —ANTLERS, TOP HATS & TIARAS, “Wine, Ale & Spirit" stroll featuring Texas wineries, breweries & distilleries in the 8-block district. Tickets are $40-$50 and include wine glass & lanyard and map to visit all the stops.

8PM - MIDNIGHT
FULL MOON RISING STREET DANCE—Hosted by Lone Oak Lounge and featuring Crossroads Band on stage. Free event and reserved and sponsored tables are available.
