FAQs
Who Has to Register?
All individuals on the racecourse must be registered.
What Is a Team?
The deadline to join a team is November 16th at midnight.
A team is a way for groups of people to celebrate together during race night. When registering, participants may choose to join a team or create a new one. Choose to honor a cancer survivor, or special moment. Share your team name with others and encourage them to join. Teams may also choose to raise donations for Miles Perret prior to race night.
The largest team, and the team that raises the most donations will receive special awards at the Awards Ceremony.
Do Teams Have to Walk/Run Together?
Team members are not required to run together, since everyone is timed separately. Participants will be separated into 6 waves at the start line, according to the finish time they provided during registration. However, team members are welcome to select the same finish time at registration, or gather in the same wave in order to run/walk together.
What is a Wave?
Waves are sections of participants lined up at the start line, in order from fastest finish time to slowest finish time. There are 6 waves, with those who have strollers or plan to walk being encouraged to use the last two waves. Each wave will start the race in 30 second intervals to keep everyone safely spaced out along the racecourse.
What Do You Mean by Gleaux?
"Gleaux” means things that glow-in-the-dark and blink. Every registration comes with glow sticks and a light up ring (while supplies last). The Gleaux Shop is stocked with additional items for purchase to help us light up the night sky.
What is the Afterglow Party?
The Afterglow Party takes place in Town Square, River Ranch, immediately after the race. As participants cross the finish line, they will walk through the City Club tunnel into a grassy area where we will dance, eat, drink, and celebrate the impact we can have when we come together. The event will feature a live DJ, with awards following at 8:00pm.
Am I Allowed to Pick Up My Friend’s Packet?

Can I Participate in Both the 1 Mile and the 5k Events?

1. A timing chip. The timing chip communicates with sensors along the racecourse that track your pace. To ensure accurate timing, please do not obstruct your bib or timing chip during the race.
2. A QR code. The QR code can be scanned with the camera of a smartphone to display your individual results after the race.

What is the Extra Mile Bib?
