Champion Paws 5K

Midsouth Runners and The Champion Farm are hosting the third annual Champion Paws 5K on October 5, 2024, at a new location, Shelby Farms Park in Memphis!
For our first year’s race, we donated a portion of the proceeds to support The Champion Farm. Our second year’s race benefited Opal’s Barn. The mission of this year's race is to donate a portion of the proceeds to a local nonprofit dog rescue, Team Memphis Rescue & Support.  TMRS is a 501C3 all-breed rescue group that helps abandoned, neglected, and lost pets. They are intensely devoted to helping pets find their forever home. Their existence depends on support from volunteers, fosters, and donations. It is what makes saving animals possible!

The race encourages runners/walkers to bring their dogs with them to enjoy the 5K race route!  There will be Finisher Medals, Awards, Race Participant T-Shirts, live music by Sarah Spain, Free Raffle Prizes, Vendor Booths, and Post Race Refreshments!  Edgar Hernandez from The Champion Farm will be our onsite dog trainer, and we look forward to him speaking at the opening race ceremony along with Team Memphis Rescue & Support.
