Yes, all distances except the Kid's Run are chip-timed
It’s both; participants can run or walk, so long as you can complete the distance you signed up for in the allotted course time.
Yes, weather permitting; dangerous conditions such as lightning may delay the start. Only in very rare instances, such as a Level 2 Snow Emergency, would the race be cancelled due to participant safety.

At the Wolfe Park Shelterhouse beginning at 9:15am on Race Day
At the same start/finish line at Wolfe Park just outside the Shelterhouse. Look for the USA Race Timing arch!
Yes, all are on paved roads, sidewalks, or bike path.
Yes, interactive course maps are provided here.
Yes, spectators are welcome. If you want to follow your runner for the 10k or half marathon, the best places to safely follow your runner are at the 5k and 10k aid stations. Those locations can be found on the Google Interactive Course Maps
Yes — the Kids Cookie Dash without swag is free

Online registration is open until race day. You can also use the old-school method of paper registration on race day.
RunSignUp is used for online event registration.
If signing up via paper form on race day, then a RunSignUp account is not required
A reusable branded mug, finisher's medal, custom bib, a wide selection of cookies, other snacks/refreshments, and race photos.
Kids who are registered with swag receive a medal; ALL kids get cookies.
Yes — free photos with cookie mascots and finish line pics are provided.
Yes — flavor choice is part of the finish line experience
Yes — instant results available online
Our equipment is good, but it works optimally when a bib is visible on a runner's torso as they cross the timing mats at the start/finish line
Yes — results are sorted by age categories starting at age 10 & under, then in 5 year increments all the way up to 90+.
No — overall and age group results are posted online but there is no awards ceremony
Yes, dogs are allowed on a leash; participants who bring their fur baby are asked to start after the main group to avoid crowding
Yes — strollers are permitted.
Headphones are allowed but not recommended for safety. A good compromise for runner experience and safety is a bone-conducting headphone such as Shokz.
