Description
The Alternative Breaks Program in the Center for Social Justice at Georgetown University is hosting a 5K run/walk!
Join us on Sunday, November 12, 2017 in supporting students on their alternative break trips both across the nation and abroad by participating in our 2k walk or 5k race through Georgetown’s historic campus. The Alternative Breaks Program (ABP) is focused on providing immersion experiences for Georgetown students and staff to allow them to engage with communities across the country. Each trip delves into understanding the specific culture and challenges faced by the relevant communities. These trips occur every year and students will often return to the community with which they engaged in the past. This helps sustain long-term relationships with community partners while benefitting both the trip participants and the communities visited.
9:30 am - Registration opens at Healy Lawn on Georgetown University's campus.
*Pre-Race Yoga will be offered on Healy Lawn
11:00 am - 2k walk and 5k race begins at Healy Lawn on Georgetown University's campus.
