Description
· The 2013 Kettle Classic 5K Run on April 20 hosted by The Salvation Army National Capital Area.
· On the Grand Prix course of the Festival Grounds at RFK Stadium in Northeast DC beginning with pre-race events 8:00 a.m.
· The race begins at 9:00 a.m. and is being run on the Grand Prix course at the stadium.
· A two kilometer Family Fun Walk on Kingman Island, a conservation area next to the stadium.
· This year’s goal is to raise $50,000 with all proceeds benefiting Turning Point Center, a dynamic program for homeless young women with children located in Columbia Heights.
· Race mascot, The Salvation Army Red Kettle will be on hand to greet the crowd. Also appearing: the GEICO Gecko, Washington Wizards Street Team and the Dunkin’ Donuts Pace Car.

The costs are as follows:
· $35 5K Run Adult
· $25 5K Run Youth (Under 18)
· $15 Walk Adult (Under 18 Walk Free)
