Join us on
Saturday, October 12th for the 4th Annual Governor's Race for Excellence 5k. This year’s event will include a 1-mile obstacle course followed by an afternoon of games, music, vendors, and more!
Funds raised will support JDG program participants 10 middle schools and 23 high schools throughout Delaware. Together, we can give students the tools to achieve academic, career, personal, and social success!

JDG believes in paying it forward! Double down on your support by joining the #Runlikeagraduate Team Challenge. To enter:

  1. Create a Team: Get your friends, family, and co-workers to join. The more the better! 

  2. Run the Race:  Walk, jog, or run your way to the finish line. 

  3. Win $250 for Charity: JDG will make a donation to the charity of your choice!

 

The LARGEST team will win money that will be donated to a local charity in their name!!

JDG works with youth who face substantial barriers to improve their academic and employment success. Through hard work and consistency, JDG helps students to overcome barriers and navigate some of life's toughest obstacles.

Virtual Runner

Can't make it on Race Day? No problem! Now you can sign up as a "Virtual Runner!" 

 

What is Virtual Running and How does it work? 

"Virtual running works exactly the same as any other type of running but the difference is that the entered race can be run at any location, at any pace, inside on a treadmill or outside in your own neighborhood! All you have to do is enter a race and provide evidence that you have done it. That's it!"

 

To get started: 

1. Click the "Virtual Runner" tab and complete your registration.

2. Choose a starting line - it can be on a track, a treadmill, or a neighborhood street.

3. Run the distance (5 kilometers or 3.10685 miles) by midnight, Saturday, October 12, 2019.

4. Submit your results - Screenshot your app or monitoring device and send it jdgshared@gmail.com to receive your finishers certificate in the mail! 

 

Virtual Running is another way to give back, regardless of where you are!
