Description
Join us for the Western Family YMCA's 5th Annual Great Human Race 5K at 9am, followed by our International Food Festival at 11am, in partnership with the West Wilmington Seventh Day Adventist Church. Celebrate our extraordinary community through food, music, international performances, and play! All proceeds support the Western Family YMCA’s Annual Campaign.
5k Participants may enter the International Food Festival for free. If you are planning to only attend the International Food Festival, we are accepting cash only at the event. No early registration required. Adults: $20, Children under 18: $5.
The YMCA of Delaware is committed to strengthening local citizens through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. As one of the largest non-profit organizations in the state, we are dedicated to serving everyone – regardless of age, income or background. With support from our community, we work every day to help ensure that people from all walks of life can enjoy the Y, especially those who would not be able to experience what we offer without financial support. Runners Amentities
All racers will receive:
- 1 Ticket to enter the International Food Festival

Bib Pick Up Date/Time: Sunday September 13th from 8:00 am till 9:00 am
Bib Pick Up Location: in front of the Western family YMCA Main Building

Age Groups & Awards
Award ceremony will take place in front of the Western Family YMCA main building, where our International Food Festival will take place.
We will be giving the following awards for completion of the Great Human Race 5k:

Overall Male/Female

Overall Male/Female Master
-
Top 3 in each age group Male/Female
-
9 & under, 10-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+
-
*Overall and Masters - based off GUN TIME
*Age Groups - based off CHIP TIME
*All kids in the Little Human race 5k will receive a participant medal.
Parking
Participant parking will be available at the Western Family YMCA.
Volunteers will be onsite to direct traffic and help participants find parking. Please follow all volunteer directions and posted event signage.
Participants will primarily be directed to the:
• Lower Parking Lot
• Side Parking Lot
♿ Accessible parking will be reserved at the top of the Side Parking Lot.
With a large number of runners, volunteers, and event guests arriving Sunday morning, please give yourself extra time to park and get to the race area.
