Runners Invited to Conquer the Cold!
DELTA, OH – January 18, 2026
A staple of the Midwest running calendar since 1974, the Dave’s 10 Miler is famous for happening every year "regardless of the unpredictable weather," challenging runners to embrace the cold with a festive, competitive spirit. The event offers two challenging distances—the classic 10-mile course and the popular Yeti 10K (6.2 miles)—both weaving through the scenic, flat county roads of Fulton County.
Participants in both races are encouraged to keep an eye out for the event's mythical mascot—the Yeti—a nod to the unique winter challenge. The race has become a crucial early-season event, serving as a perfect training run for spring marathons and providing an inspiring community atmosphere.
"The Dave's 10 Miler is more than just a race; it's a testament to the grit and camaraderie of our running community," said [Insert Name and Title of Race Organizer/Dave's Running Shop Representative - e.g., Clint McCormick, Race Director for Run Toledo]. "We're excited to welcome runners back for another year of challenging courses, unpredictable weather, and of course, a hot, well-deserved post-race lunch."
