Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in the U.S. It affects an estimated 1 in 59 children and adults in Alabama. As needs grow in the autism community, ASA strives to expand services - but we must first meet our fundraising goals. With your help, we can continue to grow and serve thousands of individuals affected by ASD in AL. Over the years we have implemented new programs that provide respite to fund families who deserve a much needed break, give hope to newly diagnosed families by providing a CARE Binder with local resources and offer Sibshops so special needs siblings can have a safe, fun, recreational environment as they obtain peer support and education. The society continues to provide information and referral services for families, create sensory sensitive environments for families to enjoy family outings, train First Responders and send over 100 campers to Camp FROG annually.
