Camp COOL (Children Overcoming Obstacles through Love) was founded in July 2013. Camp was founded to serve as a special needs summer camp focusing on children who have a primary diagnosis of cerebral palsy or spina bifida ages six to twenty-one. It is a free special-needs summer camp held at Camp McDowell annually. We strive to create an environment for campers to come without the fear of being excluded during activities or even rejected from the camp due to their individualized needs. Meeting a fundraising goal of $5,000 would allow us to better achieve these goals and accommodate more campers in the coming years.
