While the majority of the funding for this event is provided by the City of Albany's Soda Tax, there are additional expenses that go beyond what the City covers. The Albany Community Foundation provides fiscal sponsorship for managing the funds from the City of Albany and registration fees, as well as providing insurance for 5K event participants.
