Description:
Looking for a fun run for the entire family? Don’t miss the 9th Coyote 5K Classic and 1 mile fun run on Sunday, October 20, 2019 in Golden, CO at 8:30 am. Thanks to our generous sponsors, we are proud to offer one of the most affordable 5k events in metro-Denver.
Course description:
The 5k course is nestled next to Apex open space and has stunning views of Golden's Table Mountains and Boulder's Flatirons. The 5k starts and finishes at Shelton Elementary in Golden, CO. The course is hilly and challenging but will reward you with beautiful views. The 1-mile fun run will take place on Shelton Elementary school field and nearby park and bike trail.
Directions to start:
The event will start and finish at Shelton elementary school, on the field behind the school.
Parking:
There is a parking lot in front of the school. Please help us be a sustainable event by carpooling, biking, or walking to the start.
Awards info:
Awards will go to the top three male and female 5K runners. We will also award the top male and female 5K runners in the following age groups, 6-younger, 7-8, 9-11, 12-17 years old, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-older
Additional info
No Dogs please. For the safety of all runners, no dogs will be allowed on the 1 mile and 5K course.

We are a sustainable event. Please carpool, walk, or bike to the event.
Sleep in for Shelton
Sleep in option for $20. Help Shelton Elementary and consider making a Sleep-In donation if you aren't able to run in the race.
Packet pickup:
At Shelton Elementary School: Friday October 19th from 8am-8:45am and 3:30-5pm; Saturday from 10am-12pm at Vital Outdoors and the morning of the race starting at 7AM.
Registration info:
Registration fees for adults (18 and over) increase in October and again once online registration closes. Register early to take advantage of the discounted price and to guarantee your t-shirt and desired size.
All proceeds benefit Shelton elementary school.
