Walk/Run/Ride Scoliosis Awareness Virtual Event

June is Scoliosis Awareness month and this event will do just that. It will bring awareness to parents, students, and community members to recognize the importance of scoliosis screening. Scoliosis is a sideways curvature of the spine. While scoliosis can be caused by conditions such as cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy, the cause of most scoliosis is unknown. I have had personal experience with this condition, but Nemours Children's Hospital was there every step of the way through my daughter's Spinal fusion surgery. Tackling wearing a brace, physical therapy, and surgery are no easy feat for kids. However, we made it through and would love to give back to Nemours Children's Hospital through donations on behalf of my 13 year old daughter.
