This event is to raise funds and awareness of services and activities for people with spinal cord injuries and other dis-Abilities.
In addition, we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the ADA, signed into law on 7/26/90 by President George H. W. Bush.
Funds raised will go to The Coalition of Independent Living Options, Inc. (CILO), which became a 501(c)(3) organization in 1990, and has offered thousands of families free assistance and support with accessibility, domestic violence, and social security issues as well as running summer camps, and a food bank, and much more.
A portion of the funds will also go to Achilles International South Florida, another 501(c)(3) organization, which empowers people with all types of disabilities to participate in mainstream running events in order to promote personal achievement.
