Southern Crescent Raise the Roof 5k Postponed
New Date: 2021
Dear Friend of Habitat,
The Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity Raise the Roof 5k that was set for March 2020 will now be rescheduled for 2021. All registered participants will be mailed their t-shirt and will provide discounted registration for next year's race. With rising health concerns, we find that it's in our community's best interest to change the date. As always, thank you for supporting our mission to build homes, communities, and hope. Description
Raise the Roof 5k Fun Run hosted by Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity is a family-friendly event in Lovejoy, GA on March 21, 2020 at 8am. Runners will have a chance to tour a Habitat for Humanity home, engage with current and future Habitat home recipients, plus take part in the "Toolbelt Trot." Each dollar raised will go towards "raising the roof" on a new home or home repair in Clayton, Henry and Fayette counties. Help us “run” into the future of affordable housing! This race is an official AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifying event!

Course Info
One of the unique things about our USATF Certified Course is that it passes by two of our new build neighborhood developments. The first neighborhood is called Austin Meadows and has 15 Habitat homes. This development was completed in 2016. Our second neighborhood is Hannah Springs and will contain 28 Habitat homes. We have completed the first ten homes and are working on the next two. Construction of the neighborhood began in 2016. This will be a unique opportunity for race participants to see the tangible impact we are making in the community for affordable homeownership! The Raise the Roof 5k Color Run is also aAJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifying Event.
