Main Street Chiller

Support Murphysboro Main Street's mission to promote the historical preservation, history, culture, architecture, and public use of Murphysboro's traditional downtown area.  This is our Health and Wellness committee's run/walk event, and we're starting this 2021 with a bang...our event is going VIRTUAL!  We are bringing the walk/run TO YOU!

Pick the run/walk you want to compete in, then between JANUARY 21-31, 2021, COMPETE!  Select the course of your choice! Participate morning or night, treadmill or outside, around the town, on a traditional route, in a wacky outfit or your running attire - the choices are endless! We want to see how you make the Virtual Main Street Chiller Run/Walk FUN! You can also share your walk/run on social media tagging. Share info and pictures of you on your trek by tagging @murphysboromainstreet on Facebook!

There is a race distance for everyone!  For those who like the shorter trips, all the way up to our ultra-crazy running friends, and our friends who love to do ALL the races (or collect all the bling!) in a weekend... there are options for each of you! If you aren't into competing and simply want to participate in the race, that's ok too!

If you are participating in a live run/walk somewhere over these dates - DOUBLE-DIP!  Be aware of our parameters on course length.  Use your live race for our race also!

Packet pick-up will be on January 20 and 21 from 5 pm-7 pm at the Daum Building parking lot.  This will be a drive-through packet pick-up.  Out-of-town registrants will have their packets mailed to them.
