The Tri-State Warrior Outreach was inspired by the experiences of Sergeant Aaron Patrick and Sergeant Shane Nickell during the 2011 Veterans Day Run for the Wounded Warrior Project at the IL Veterans Home in Quincy IL. The intention was to host a fundraiser where all funds will remain local for the benefit of area Veterans & their families.
We provide financial assistance and in-kind help for Veterans whose situations have left them caught “in between” when local organizations and the VA are not able to help swiftly in times of urgent need. We provide immediate, limited short-term assistance while Veterans use that time to get back on their feet when their lives and the lives of their families are disrupted by situations beyond their control. We have provided assistance for groceries, medical expenses, rental, utilities, travel to VA hospitals, clothing and home improvement where otherwise there would be nowhere else to turn in the short term for our local area Veterans.
