Description
This race represents the power we have to overcome all the challenges life throws at us all on a daily basis. We all have our story, our journey and our challenges that we have to overcome in order to the best person possible.
My life has been touched personally by running, it has given me wings to set my soul free and time to relax from stress. I first started running to give myself an outlet that would be postive while I digested the autsim diagnosis that my son was given last year. I grieved through running, long miles and early mornings. I remember telling my boss " I feel like I am running a marathon with all these doctors appointments and emotions" so that is exactly what I did - I signed up for the Marine Crop. Marathon and ran for OAR - Organization for Autsim Research in honor of my son Paulie. I raised money and lifted myself out of the sadness, hopeless feelings and into a new role as my son's voice, support, love , strenght and soilder. It takes a whole community to come together to advocate for children and help build their futures especially those that have special needs.
Celebrating Challenges is a run to honor - the family, friends and community that give of their time, hearts and money to support the fight againt Autism. We all have challenges big and small, but together we celebrate them and turn the most diffcult struggles into personal victories.
Since this is a virtual race, you can be apart of this event whenever the time is most convenient for you.
