Katahdin Area Trails, in partnership with Mt Chase Lodge, is working to organize a trail race series for all ages and abilities throughout the entire year. This first summer will be work out all the details of how to make this race series possible. But the end goal is to have multiple events throughout the year that will include but not be limited to running, walking, biking, skiing and snowshoeing. Being active is important to a healthy lifestyle and we hope to create events that will show the community how much fun getting outside and being active can be.
Katahdin Area Trails (KAT) is a 501c3 charitable organization, founded in February 2014.
Our mission is to grow exceptional non-motorized trail experiences and a vibrant, welcoming trails community in Maine’s Katahdin Region.
We work to create, enhance, and support trail systems of all kinds that –
- Support community connectivity
- Appeal to all ages and abilities
- Help local residents engage in the outdoors year-round
- Promote the natural beauty of the region
