Description

The Sickle Cell Association supports the sickle cell community while working to eliminate the disease through collaboration on research, education and resources.

The Sickle Cell Stroll is our annual awareness walk that brings attention and education of sickle cell to the community, celebrates the lives of those living with the disease, honors the warriors who are gone and helps raise needed funds for the organization.

You can help the Sickle Cell  Association continue its mission by joining in on the fundraising efforts of the event.  Simply register for the event, create a fundraising page and start sharing with everyone you know. Yes, things are different due to COVID-19 so our race is completely VIRTUAL.

You will have the opportunity to either run/walk a mile or compete and enter the race for a 5K. Every one receives a T-Shirt for signing up but 5K participants get an extra token. (Pick Up will be announced) You have the option to complete the stroll on your own time and record your results virtually. We just ask that you take pictures, videos and broadcast all over social media. Using our hashtags, #SickleCellStroll2020, #9thAnnualSickleCellStroll, #BattleTested and you can get creative and add in your teams hashtag. There will be giveaways for being active on social media so don't forget to tag the organization.

We look forward to seeing everyone's pictures!
